IN-HOME SERVICES

We offer many different services, and they can be arranged for a few hours a week or as many as 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These services can be for short term respite relief, or long term care. While Cleansing Water cannot replace the love and support of a person's family, our home health aides and companions provide these helpful and necessary services, to reduce the difficult, time-consuming and often stressful aspect of caring for your loved ones.

Home care can serve a variety of needs.  Home care may include companion care, home health care, and skilled nursing care. Companion care is provided by caregivers or companions, who serve as surrogate family members, performing many of the tasks that family members would typically complete. Assistance from companion caregivers may include meal preparation, medication reminders, laundry, light housekeeping, shopping,  assistance with exercising and getting clients to and from appointments. The overall goals of a companion care provider are to ensure that the home environment remains safe and that the individual has a companion to spend time with when family members are not available.

Home health care is for those who are no longer able to perform all of the activities of daily living by themselves, but who do not require skilled medical services. A home health aid or CNA (certified nurse assistant) can help with the activities of daily living, which include bathing, dressing, transferring, eating, and toileting. Additional services generally include meal preparation, mobility exercises, light housekeeping, laundry services, medication reminders, and making sure clients arrive at their appointments.

Skilled nursing care is prescribed by a physician and is administered by a registered nurse. Services provided by skilled nurses include: administering injections or IV’s, changing catheters, taking care of wounds, and doing physical assessments.

We continue to assess the services of our caregivers and perform home evaluations while they are on the job. Quarterly we offer our caregivers training at staff meetings and keep them informed on the latest information available regarding care for our special needs clients who are living with Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s. We are very proud of our staff – and their dedication to providing excellent home health care for your loved one.
